DAC81408RHAR Overview
The DAC81408RHAR is the flagship product in Texas Instruments’ DACx1408 series. It is an 8-channel, 16-bit, buffered high-voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that integrates a low-drift 2.5V internal precision reference voltage source. This device is fully pin-compatible with the 14-bit DAC71408 and 12-bit DAC61408 in the same series, providing engineers with the flexibility to choose the resolution on a single PCB design.
The DAC81408RHAR is specifically designed for applications with stringent requirements for multi-channel, high-precision analog outputs, such as industrial automation, communications infrastructure, and high-end consumer electronics. Its integrated output buffer provides a drive capability of up to ±25mA, enabling direct driving of various loads without the need for additional operational amplifiers. The device supports a 50MHz SPI-compatible serial interface and integrates advanced features such as CRC error checking and daisy-chain operation, facilitating system integration.
