High-Speed Transceiver Evaluation Solution

The AFE7958 Evaluation Module (EVM) is specifically designed for evaluating the AFE795x series of high-speed transceivers. This module incorporates a 4-transmit, 6-receive RF sampling transceiver supporting a frequency range from 600MHz to 12GHz, with a maximum instantaneous bandwidth (IBW) of 1200MHz.

Key features include AC-coupled analogue inputs with on-board balanced-to-unbalanced converters, clocking provided by either on-board TI solutions or external options, and an FMC connector for interfacing with TI data acquisition cards.

 

Dedicated Evaluation Module

Features include a crystal oscillator interface and buffered oscillator outputs, operating on a single 3.3V supply using either the on-board regulator option or direct power input.

For simpler clocking requirements, the CDC6C evaluation module provides an assessment solution for low-power LVCMOS BAW oscillators.

This device supports standard frequencies from 1MHz to 200MHz with total frequency stability of ±50ppm, accounting for all factors.
