I. Demand for AI server power supplies continues to rise, with MPS modules in short supply
With the rapid expansion of large AI model training and high-performance computing clusters, server power supply architectures are undergoing profound transformation. The power consumption of AI servers has surged from several hundred watts in traditional general-purpose servers to between 3 kW and 8 kW, whilst the value of a single AI server power supply has soared to between 6,000 and 24,000 yuan. Against this backdrop, MPS (Xinyuan Systems), leveraging its proprietary Intelli-Phase™ and DPPM architectures, has achieved higher power density within the limited space of server PCBs; its AI power module business has become the core driver of revenue growth.
MPS’s MPC and MPM series power modules, characterised by high integration, high current output capability and excellent transient response, are widely used in applications such as AI accelerator cards, core power supply for server motherboards, and CPU/GPU VRMs. Given the current strong market demand and persistent capacity constraints at the original manufacturers, Mingjiada Electronics is now seeking to purchase the following MPS power module models at premium prices worldwide. We warmly welcome enquiries regarding factory stock, distributor surplus stock and trader supplies.
II. Key Models Sought and Product Descriptions
1. MPC22168-170: 16V/170A dual-phase Intelli-Module™
The MPC22168-170 is a dual-phase, non-isolated, high-efficiency buck power module that integrates a driver MOSFET (DrMOS) and inductor to achieve high efficiency and a compact form factor, making it ideal for server applications. The module features two independent outputs that can be used individually or in parallel, delivering a continuous output current of up to 170A (85A per phase) across a wide input voltage range.
In server applications, the MPC22168-170 operates in conjunction with a three-state PWM signal controller. Its built-in Accu-Sense™ current sensing function monitors the inductor current in real time, whilst its temperature sensing function reports junction temperature, helping the system to implement precise power management and thermal control strategies. The module utilises Quiet Switcher™ technology to limit peak switching voltages, effectively reducing EMI interference. Packaged in an LGA-72 (9 mm × 9.9 mm × 8 mm) package and weighing typically just 3.5 g, it is suitable for applications such as servers and computing, FPGA and ASIC core power supplies, and graphics card core regulators.
2. MPM82504: 16V/4×25A Scalable PMBus Power Module
The MPM82504 is a fully integrated, high-efficiency, synchronous, 4-channel 25A buck power module featuring an integrated PMBus digital interface. It offers a wide input voltage range of 4V to 16V and is scalable up to a total output current of 800A. The module supports flexible parallel configuration of the four output channels, providing output currents of 50A, 75A or 100A to meet diverse requirements ranging from multi-channel low-to-medium current supply to high-current single-rail output.
The MPM82504 utilises a four-phase design and MPS’s proprietary multi-phase constant on-time control to achieve ultra-fast transient response whilst requiring minimal output capacitance. In server applications, the module provides a complete power supply solution for PCIe cards, FPGA power systems and ASIC core power supplies, supporting active current balancing and featuring a ±10 per cent input voltage tolerance, whilst withstanding uncontrolled VIN power-up sequencing. Housed in a 15 mm × 30 mm BGA package, its digital features include readback and telemetry, as well as the ability to programme key parameters such as output voltage, current limit and soft-start time via PMBus.
3. MPM3695 Series: 16V Scalable DC/DC Power Modules (including MPM3695-100, MPM3695-20 and MPM3695-25)
The MPM3695 series is MPS’s range of scalable, fully integrated power modules designed for the server and computing sectors, covering multiple output current ratings:
MPM3695-100: A 16V, 100A fully integrated power module featuring a PMBus interface. Its 4-phase design delivers ultra-fast transient response; the 100A continuous current supports output voltages up to 1.8V, whilst delivering 60A continuous current at a 3.3V output. This module is scalable up to 800A and is suitable for powering FPGA and ASIC cores in data centres, as well as for telecoms and 5G power systems. Housed in a 15mm × 30mm BGA package, it supports automatic interleaved multi-phase operation and active current balancing.
MPM3695-20: A scalable, fully integrated power module delivering up to 25A of continuous output current. It utilises MPS’s proprietary multi-phase constant on-time control, offering ultra-fast transient response and simple loop compensation. Input voltage ranges from 3 V to 16 V (external VCC) or 4 V to 16 V (internal VCC), with an output voltage ranging from 0.5 V to 5.5 V. It is housed in an ECLGA-29 (5 mm × 6 mm × 4.4 mm) package, and the digital interface supports telemetry readback including VIN, VOUT, IOUT, temperature and fault data.
MPM3695-25: A 16 V, 20 A (25 A peak) scalable DC/DC power module with a PMBus 1.3 interface; the switching frequency can be programmed via PMBus to 400 kHz, 600 kHz, 800 kHz or 1000 kHz. Suitable for applications such as FPGA/ASIC AI and data mining, servers and computing, telecommunications and network systems.
MPM3695-10: A 16V, 10A ultra-slim scalable power module with a PMBus interface. With an output current of 10A, it can be scaled up to 250A via parallel connection and is suitable for powering server boards in space-constrained environments.
